The dance is French in origin, dating back to the Second World War, the word “Ceroc” is actually an abbreviation of the phrase “c’est le rock”. The dancing that we now teach has evolved enormously in the United Kingdom over the last 40 years and takes moves from many other popular dance forms such as Ballroom, Salsa, Latin, Jive, Swing, Hip Hop and Tango. This fusion of a wide range of different dance styles is easy to learn, sociable and fun, and can be danced to any music with a regular beat.
